Charming illustrated booklet with color cover illustrations on front and rear depicting a small girl shepherdess, a little Bo Peep wearing a red cap and holding her crook, flanked by a small white lamb, with text describing wool from around the world, including Australia. Australian merino are described with wool from Spain: "Their wool is so soft and silky that in Australia they are kept for this alone". The cover illustrations very much in the style of Will Owen, although not signed.
Illustrations on one page and an advertisement for Lux on the facing page. The illustrated sheep are Punjab, Barbary, Burhal, British sheep, Syria, Merino of Spain, and the Siberian Argali.
Not found on Trove. 4 x 5", 16pp. Stapled color illustrated wrappers; very short tear top edge front wrapper. Very good condition. Item #25901
