Northfield (1887 - 1973) was the subject of the 2006 volume by the National Library of Australia (Michelle Hetherington) titled 'James Northfield and the Art of Selling Australia'. Northfield's work is prized for its draftsmanship & design, and a distinctly Australian sense of color and light.
