8vo, presentation green diced calf binding, with gilt title label on spine, 6 compartments, gilt rule around edge of covers. Lower front hinge starting, heavily inked name on verso of the frontispiece, along with a tide mark (also on first plate), otherwise a bright, clean, firm copy, in very good condition. Specially bound for "W. G. Digby Wingfield", with his gilt initials on the spine, by C. Clarke in 1853. Previous owner James Field, received the volume on his birthday in March of 1852.
