With an image of Melbourne Town Hall, decorated with the flags & crests of Australia and the US, with decorative surrounds and wattle design. On the verso, the initials WTP inside a floral diamond, the trademark of WT Pater, printers and stationers. [with] 6 other cards issued at the same time.
W. T. Pater & Co. was a Melbourne company that published postcards in the early 1900s. William Thompson Pater was born in Melbourne in 1861. Pater's business was established at 271 Little Collins Street as a general printer and stationer which offered Christmas cards, booklets, calendars, and leather goods as well as postcards and albums.
