Ca. 1880. Amusing chromolithograph trade card illustrated with a young girl sharp shooter holding her rifle, wearing numerous medals on a buckled sash and a white helmet. At her right is her shooting trophy, balanced atop a roll of Coats thread and the shooting range in the background. The marksman, who we identify as Lillian Smith, traveled to Great Britain with the Wild West Show and met Queen Victoria in 1887.

On the verso, a printed chart showing which thread numbers are appropriate to use with different sewing machines. Over stamped with circular stamp for Cohen Brothers Dry Goods of Jacksonville, Florida. The Cohen brothers immigrated to New York City from Germany following the Civil War; shortly thereafter, recognizing the strong demand in Florida for dry goods as a result of the war, they moved to Jacksonville, where they eventually became the state's largest department store.
