A real Australian eleven! …Unbeaten at 11,200 guineas. All sons of one ram sold for 5,000 guineas. Silvertone photograph.

Ca. 1920. An amusing real photograph advertising merino sheep as an Australian cricket team. The sheep are nicely arranged in a single row, and stand in their magnificent high quality wool coats with thick folds around their necks, patiently having their picture taken. Or so one imagines.

Caption printed below the image with the price per sheep listed as scores, from left to right, in guineas. 9 1/2 x 6", traces of black album paper on verso, not affecting image. Very good overall. Item #26275
