Handsome steel engraving advertising the New Orleans foundry, maker of steam engines, saw mills, iron building fronts and "All Machinery required for the South", printed in a variety of different type faces, within an ornate decorative border. A line of text pertaining to local planters reads, "They respectfully call the particular attention of the Planters of Louisiana .. to their style of steam engines, sugar mills, vacuum pans and draining wheels ... ".

Printed on the verso is a Bartlett view entitled, "Sabbath Day Point, Lake George" (New York). 10 1/2 x 8". Slight chip at upper right corner. Very good overall. Item #26283
