New Orleans & New York "one price" clothing retailer, Alfred Munroe & Co. Trade handbill.

New York: Milton Emerson & Co, Ca. 1853. Handsome steel engraving advertising the clothing retailer at No. 34 Magazine Street, New Orleans and No. 441 Broadway, New York, with an engraved illustration of the New York storefront at the center. The engraving signed J. W. Orr, NY in the print. Each side of the illustration is printed in 14 lines of text, each in a different type face, all within an ornate decorative border. The handbill boasts, "One Price for Goods, and no deviation".

Printed on the verso is a Bartlett view entitled, "Burial Place of the Voyageurs" (Canada). 10 1/2 x 8". Slight scattered fox spotting, mostly in margins. Good + overall. Item #26286
