Germany: 1937. A scarce poster, not seemingly held by the German National Library, although they are the only institution to hold a program for the event. (OCLC: 73012116). The poster advertises a an international aeronautical gathering for gliders. A very attractive poster, in full color, with some minimal Nazi iconography (a small swastika within one letter), but a rather large German eagle figures on the right with 3 gliders in the air. The artist's name in the upper sky "K. Lorenz". Our research does not turn up much on Lorenz, but he seems to have been a poster and stamp artist during this time of great propaganda.
Period folds, with a couple of small splits. Paper size 23 x 32 1/2" Very good overall. Item #26317
