New York: Craige-Wilson, Inc., 1928-29. Two volumes of this "Ready to Wear - Custom-Quality" clothing catalogue for the Fall & Winter season 1928-29 and Spring & Summer season 1929. These suits were sold through a representative of the National Association of Direct Selling Companies, in this case the salesman was E. M. Ames of Skowhegan, ME. Fall - 16pp with 2 to 3 samples per page. Spring - 20pp w 3 - 4 samples on every other page. All woolen samples, almost all in perfect condition (2 with minor moth damage). Suits priced from $8.75 - $23.50. It's difficult to imagine anyone wearing a wool suit in summer, but the samples are here to prove that you could buy them. An added feature on the inside front board is "Perspiration Proof Lining in all suits priced $13.75 and Up!"

2 volumes, 4to, quarter brown cloth and publishers brown papered boards, title in darker brown on front board, spine with no title. Spine tips a little rubbed, a little shaken. Very good condition. Item #26399
