This edition includes a portrait of the author and an index of names and subjects. Thick sml 4to, 771pp, colored map, steel engraved portraits with tissue guards throughout. Original brown pebbled cloth, gilt title, rebacked with most of the original spine laid down. Presented by a doctor (name illegible) to N. G. Foshay on July 4th, 1900. He is cited in the Putnam County Courier, 4 June 1897 as "Editor N. G. Foshay" of Peekskill visiting Carmel. Very good overall. Item #26589
