A highly illustrated pictorial history, with many portraits of church members, church officers and church buildings of the Church of Christ in every Australian state, New Zealand and the Foreign Missions, which accompany the text describing colonial and church history. West Australia section includes large photographic portrait of Mrs. Jane Bell and her son Albany Bell, who bought a large tract of land at Roelands, which eventually became the Roelands Aboriginal Mission.

Foreign missions include the Adelaide Chinese Mission, Chinese in Melbourne, Kanaka Mission in Queensland, and the NSW Chinese Mission. Signed presentation copy from the editor/publisher, with inscription at front free end paper, "To Frank A. Wilkinson, compliments of A. B. Maston, Publisher, Melbourne, Australia, Aug '2, 1904. In a half red morocco binding with title on cover and spine. All edges gilt with marble endpapers. A bright clean copy. Very good condition.
