Pamphlet. 19th century magician "Professor de la Mano" was an Austrian illusionist whose wealthy family owned a circus and whose real name was Zell Dreitzehn. He came to the United States in 1876 and vanished in upstate New York in 1882.

Small, thin 12mo, 29pp, 3pp adds,11 figures and 6 b/w illustrations in text. Original pictorial paper wrappers with color vignette portrait of the author (gum arabic highlighting his hair).
