Philadelphia: 1873. A scarce music broadside for a concert most likely at the "Academie of Musick" in Philadelphia. The broadside states that money raised would go for a "newe House of ye Women's Christian Association..." Unusually, the names of performers are listed; Timeist: Praiseworthy Mitchell; Harpsichorders Hezekiah Perkins, Blossom Sprague; Organers Hodijah Owenson, Abijah Bumpus; Women Singers; Deliverance Higgins, Love Sparks, Experience Billings, Mistress Jerusha Cooper, Aunt Polly Basset, Prudence Slimmons. Men Singers - Hodijah Owenson, Eliakim Prandy, Intrepid Barebones, Bartlett Coffin, Hazadiah Cartwright, Zenas Holdenough and others. They sang a program of 20 songs.

Broadside, 13 x 8", folding in half. Printed on onion skin type paper, somewhat browned with untrimmed edges. Foredge ruffled with short closed split on the front. OCLC: 61817240 cites 2 different copies, this one at Penn State, thought to be from the Philadelphia Academy of Music. The Union Library copy is for a concert for a Brooklyn Church, possibly Plymouth Church, 3 days later,on March 10th, 1873. Item #27120
