New Zealand Tourist & Health Resorts Offices, letter concerning deer heads exhibited at the Louisiana Purchase Exposition.

St. Louis, MO: Oct. 13, 1904. Ephemera. One page typewritten letter on the T&HR decorative color illustrated letterhead regarding a piece exhibited in the Louisiana Purchase Exposition, signed by T. E. Donne, the NZ representative to the Louisiana Purchase Exposition, creator of many commonplace books about New Zealand and long-time advocate for tourism to New Zealand. The letterhead and border are decorated with views, Maori art and portraits in brown & blue halftones with a list of the Health Resorts in New Zealand. With the original pictorial envelope, addressed to Lewis Wend of Nelsonville, Ohio: "I am informed that you desire the price of several Deer-Heads which form part of the New Zealand Exhibit in the Forestry Fish & Game bldg. I have to inform you that the heads in question do not belong to the New Zealand government and they are not for sale." The letter is signed by T. E. Donne. 8.5 x 10.5" with the original red illustrated envelope with a gray halftone of young native child on front, stamped and franked in St. Louis, Oct. 14, 1904. 5.25 x 4.25", lacking top left corner.
