St. Louis, MO: Woodward & Tiernan Printing Co., 1904. Paperback. Program of The South African Boer War Exhibition at the 1904 World's Fair in St. Louis, MO. A military spectacle with lecturers and short representations of the Battle of Colenso, and Paardeberg called 'Tableaux'. The New South Wales Lancers performed a sword exercise as part of the spectacle. The Anglo-Boer War was a conflict between the British and South African Republic and the Orange Free State from 1899-1902.

24pp, 9 1/2 x 6 3/4", illustrated color front cover, paper covers, staplebound, b&w photos and advertisements throughout. Written in pencil on cover, 'Sept. 3, 1904' when the visitor attended the Fair. Damp mark at bottom margin, not affecting text or images. Back cover with evidence of being glued into a scrap book.
