The map "1866 West Point and It's Vicinity" is a gem, including details on both sides of the river, including Garrison & Cold Spring, marking the Foundry and the Highland Hotel, which sat on the site of the Garrison School parking lot. Other locations include the Hudson River Rail Road, Robinson House, Garrison's, Indian (Ind.) Falls, Constitution Island, Cat Pond, Cold Spring and three ferry routes, one from Cold Spring to Trophy Point, and two from Garrisons, to West Point and Cozzen's hotel at Buttermilk Falls. Roads and Turnpikes are marked as well as numerous named ponds. Counties marked include Cornwall, Monroe, Phillipstown and Putnam Valley.
