1965. Ephemera. Two booksellers respond to this request, one being Seven Gables Bookshop of NYC and the second being R.F. Perotti, ex-NYC, now Kansas City MO.
The request was made by Mrs Jo McAndrews, Littlehouse Books of Bridgewater CT. Mr. Perotti's response is pithy- "It isn't fair to ask an old bookman like me [since 1929] to price your merchandise, --- gratis..." and then offers her $6.50 for her second edition.
Typescript letter on Seven Gables letterhead, signed John, dated April 26, 1965; typed preprinted postcard signed Perrotti, dated May 28. Perotti's postcard has a long but tiny typeface list of wanted poetry and fiction. Very good overall. Item #27432
