A view facing the falls, with a ladder extending down the center rock face between the two falls and Native Americans ascending; a group of Anglo men and a dog in foreground. Additional subtitles describing the view are listed as "a. The Place where a Piece of Rock was broken from, which while standing turnd (sic) the Water of Obliquely across ye Fall as in Popple's Map"; "b. Two Men passing over ye East Stream with Staves" and "c. The Indians reascending their ladder."

8 x 4 7/8", copper engraving, b&w, uneven bottom margin; crease in upper left corner. Otherwise very good condition. Item #27441
