Bill of sale for Schooner 'Paragon of New York' and registration document for the Port of New York.

New York: 18 June 1803. Ephemera. This document is both a bill of sale for 1/6th of the Schooner to Daniel Fisher for $600 from current owners: Elliot Hackely and Benoni Jackson, and registration of the Schooner Paragon of New York to the port of New York.

Ship is described as a square stern's schooner with one deck, two masts, length 69' 9", breadth 20', depth 9' 2.5", 111 tons.

The schooner Paragon was built at Saybrook Connecticut in 1801. Still listed as a Registered American Vessel in the 1848 version of the Mercantile Navy List.

Approx. 13.5 x 8.5", 4pp, pre printed form with hand written additions, signed by Elliot Hackely, witnessed by Joseph Nousse, David Gelston (?), R. Rogers(?). Original folds, edges ruffled, two holes not affecting text, otherwise clean. Good + overall. Item #27671
