1907. Ephemera. Manuscript song, set to the tune "the Red, White and Blue". A patriotic ditty speaking to the superiority of U.S. guns, Old Glory, the mentioning the Army and Navy, three cheers, and so on. One page and verso, 5x8". The TLS from Ensign F.H. Potech, aide to Admiral Swinburne, on letterhead of the "Office of the Commander, Second Squadron, United States Pacific Fleet, U.S.S. Charleston, Flagship". Potech states that copies of the song have been distributed among the officers & men and relays the Admiral's thanks for his kindness.
Song one page and verso, 5x8" with 2 period folds. Letter 6 x 8 with clipped corners and five period folds. Manuscript very good, TLS with slight marginal dusting. Very good overall. Item #27682
