1872 - 1919. Dating from 1872 to 1919 from Punch, L'Illustration, Illustrated London News, and The Graphic exhibiting the sentiment of the times towards Votes for Women.

10 small images, one of a female skier holding a Votes for Women flag while skiing on skis that have "agitation" written on the bottom. An image of a comet as a woman screaming "Votes for Women" with the caption "The Coming Perilette." (A scientist announces the threatened impact of a comet which is to reduce the earth to ashes. Other scientists assert that the earth will easily survive its advent. For the moment the topic has been "talked out."' Another Punch image shows a woman holding a rolled newspaper with "Woman's Suffrage" on it with the caption, "In the House of Her Friends. To think that, after all these years, I should be the first martyr."

4 larger images show the French candidate Marguerite Durand, a women's rights meeting at Hanover Square and lastly, "The First Woman in the Mother of Parliaments" celebrating Lady Astor as the first representative of the Sutton Division of Plymouth at the House of Commons in 1919.
