1919, 1936. Three items relating to Zane Grey [1872 - 1939] the author and sport fisherman. One is a signed check by Grey from 1919; the second a manuscript letter from his wife Dollie and addressed to 'Doc' , her nickname for him, with 'Shall I pay these bills?" and a list of items including 'Abercrombie & Fitch for fishing flies mostly' $282.20; the third a typed letter dated 1936 from British Empire Films Limited to Grey in Bermagui, New South Wales suggesting he attend a screening of a 'remarkable film of deep sea fishing entitled, "Fish From Hell" ...realising how interested you would be in this class of subject we take the liberty of suggesting that the film be screened for you at Bermagui on the Evening of Saturday 18th. Inst."

Check 6 1/2 x 3 green, with green ink, perforated; Dollie's note 6 x7" original folds, blue ink; Typed letter 8 1/2 x 11" blue and red letterhead, original folds; all in fine condition. Fine. Item #27818
