This sample has a list of contributors, and short descriptions of stories and serials such as: 'Among the Immigrants,' Funny Darkies,' 'Longfellow with his children', 'From the Tropics to the Pole,' 'Ministers stories,' 'Teacher's stories.' There are stories for Girls, Boys and Everyone. Amongst their contributors are members of government, prominent Public Men (incl. Hon. Theodore Roosevelt, President of the Board of Police Commissioners of NYC), eminent physicians, leading writers including Rudyard Kipling, Frank Stockton, Charles Dudley Warner, etc. Well known women include Alice Longfellow, Elizabeth Bisland, Mme Lillian Nordica, men of action, Andrew Carnegie, Robert Peary, etc. With two broadside inserts giving reasons for subscribing, and this issue 'is a gift from a neighbor.'
