ALS letter to Myron Barrett from his sister in Northeast, Vermont- farming, sickness, neighbors.

Northeast, VT: June 11, 1840. SLB writes to her brother Myron in Manchester, VT about the status at home, Father and Oliver are working on the farm, shearing sheep and bringing oats to Goshen. She also writes of a "considerable sickness about here, but we are all convalescent." She mentions Hamblin, Caroline Collins (now Mrs. Mead), Cordelia, Mrs. Wooster Wheeler, David, Phebe, and a new minister named LaCost, the sudden deaths of Nelson C. and Timothy Ferris. She hopes to know whether he received the $10 from their father as soon as possible.
