Map published for a colonial revenue report by Hansard & Sons, printers for the British Parliament, just prior to the founding of South Australia. There is an inset of New South Wales in the center of the country. Uninhabited portions are highlighted in yellow, inhabited areas are in red, which included the settlement at Melville Island, which failed. The only inland exploration noted is the interior of NSW, part of the Macquarie & Lachlan Rivers. Item #7141
