Report by Mr. Alex McRae, of a Trip to the Fitzroy River from Roebuck, in the Year 1866.

Folio, 4 pp, plus a full-page map of the route and surrounding areas. 2pp report details the 1866 trek of McRae, W.S. Hall, J. McCourt, P.C. Toovey and a native named Cumming across the peninsula to the west of King Sound, encountering Barlee Springs, several fields of burned grass, a few natives burning grass to locate pigeon eggs, shooting ducks, swamps, the Fraser River (then unnamed) to the Fitzroy. Several 1/4" tears in margin (not affecting map of border), and minor discoloring at edges from age. A scarce and important account with an early map of the area. Very good. Item #7275
