The map notably tracks Cook's 2nd voyage, in which he was the 1st to cross the Antarctic Circle. Also tracks Capt. Phipps, "now Lord Mulgrave". Copper engraving, 17 x 9 1/2", sml. margin, contemporary folds, left edge ruffled, minor amount of loss to extreme left edge of projection of equator, o/w very nice. Item #22392
