Nuremburg: Homann, c. 1740. Double moon hemisphere map by Dopplemayr, according to Helvi J.M. Riccioli. Size: 50 x 58 cm. (19½ x 23 in.) [HxW]. Original wash color of the vignettes decorating the top margins of the map, with text in Latin beneath. Period crease in top right corner, sml. marginal tears in bottom margin, 2" repair on closed tear in lower centerfold. Overall, a very nice copy. Item #10686
