Nasturtiums (woodcut).

London: 1922. Color woodcut, 1922. Yellow & orange nasturtiums in a Chinese blue & white patterned bowl, with the usual black background. Fully signed in pencil in the lower margin. Thorpe moved from Sydney to London just before the First Word War and set up a studio on Redcliffe Sq. Here he created most of his woodcuts between 1920 and 1927. Some slight mat burn. "Published by Hall Thorpe, London. Copyright U.S.A. 1922" printed in the margin below the print. 9 x 11 1/4 " (229 mm x 286 mm), with wide margins all around. Item #12378
