Small folio, with 41 wonderful large chromolithographic illustrations of fish in their habitats. 2 volumes folio, sold as a collection of plates although complete, with the original decorated cloth binding. 2 volumes folio, xxvi, 1-92 pp & 93-204 pp, all edges gilt. 41 Illustrations by A.F. Lydon. Original brown pictorial gilt cloth, the cover with gilt fisherman standing in stream, holding a fish, with title above him. Spines tips chipped, corners rubbed. Plates extremely clean, tissue guards with scattered foxing. Damage to two plates ;Ruffe or Pope (p5) is ruffled at top edge, not extend into illustration; Golden Carp (p23) with almost 2" tear into illustration. Nissen ZB1 2009.
