Arbuckles' Album of Illustrated Natural History.

1890. A children's natural history published in the US ca. 1890. 13 pages, string tied binding. Each page has numerous fine chromolithograph portraits of animals, including the kangaroo & the platypus, recorded as a "Mullingong". Arbuckles was a coffee brand-name in the US in the late 1800's and published a number of these finely printed albums in which they would include a promotional page on coffee, in this instant on the back cover. A highly collected series in America. Front wrapper foredge quite chipped, with the bottom edge ruffled and a closed tear & slt. stain at the top; 1st page has sml. corner chips.
