Richter also worked with John Gould on various bird books, and there is a "Gould" feel to the New Zealand view, with surrounding shrubbery, some water and a mountain in the distance. Published in the 1860's sometime. The New Zealand national bird. 10 x 8" with margins. Published in the Transactions of the Zoological Society Vol 3, Pl 57, p. 346. Trove 11133142.
