Melbourne, Australia: 1883 - 1888. From the wool collection of W.G. Markham of Avon, N.Y., an important importer, exporter and breeder of sheep in the United States. The archive includes four auction catalogues from August & September 1883; Goldsbrough's Monthly Circular for February 20, 1878 (the folio size); 13 wool samples in pictorial envelopes from the Columbia Cream Separator Co, Avon, NY marked with the weight, age of ram/ewe and "M&P" or "Split Ear", etc.; some samples within an envelope the Government Technological Museum, Sydney.
