The map includes the coast of New Zealand as per Tasman's discoveries, as well as a hypothesized coastline for the Great South Land, called "Terra d. Quir" after Quiros. New Guinea has a south coast, and the Solomon Islands are oversize, and without a south coast. The west coast of Carpentaria, is named, as is the west coast of New Zealand and the east coast of Tasmania, after Tasman. Shirley (World) #418, 1st edition. 54 x 52 cm.
