Germany: No date, ca 1780. Lovely 18th century copperplate engraving with period handcolor of butterfly/moth. Approx. 8x10 1/2". Most likely from Johan Cristoph Esper's "Die Schmetterlinge in Abbil-dungen nach der Natur mit Beschreibungen", published between 1777 and 1801. Very good condition. Title of this print "Papilionum exoticorum. Tab. I", illustrating the Equitum Troianorum, Priamus and Hector species. Item #19385
