The Oriental Theatrical Company letter to performer with Ferris Hartman Company.
1913. A finely printed ornately letterheaded page, mailed from Yokohama, with the original envelope. The letter assures Miss Poston, a performer with the Ferris Hartman Company, of work should she ever wish to return to the orient.
Ferris Hartman [1862-1931] was a director, writer and Broadway performer with his own theater group known for musical comedy and light opera. He also reunited with Roscoe 'Fatty' Arbuckle, who performed with the Hartman group in 1912, early in silent movies. Original folds in letter, slight bumping at upper corner. The letter is signed in ink, J. L. Pierce. Envelope has original stamps from Manila. Very good overall. Item #19629
