Under the Same Old Flag - Souvenir kerchief of the Boer War.

1899-1902. Souvenir created during the Second Boer War [1899-1902] depicting the different military forces of the British colonies including in the upper left Australia, upper right Cape Colony, lower right Canada, lower left India. Each corner features a soldier in dress uniform on horseback from each of the stated locales. The center features a Victoria Cross with horse and rider leaping through, and text 'Under the Same Old Flag' beneath. 14" x 12 1/2". Color lithographic kerchief, with colors vivid, and only a faint pea-sized stain in lower left quadrant. Very good condition. Item #19785
