Volume 2 has an unusual kangaroo engraving with text on the discovery of Australia. The text describes the unusual animals of 'Nieuw Galles', with a long description of the "kangoeroe" and an engraving (pp 60 - 61). The first volume contains : De Apen; De Hond; De Kat; De Oliphant; and De Rhinoceros. The second volume: De Leeuw; De Tijger; De Kameel; Het Paard; Het Hert; Het Rund; Het Schaap; Het Konijn; De Bever; De Miereneter; De Luijaard; Het Wezeltje; De Veelvraat; De Kangoeroe; and De Vledermuis. 12mo, each volume 64pp, engravings throughout. Quarter brown cloth with marbled and striped boards. Front board of Volume I, marbled paper detaching slightly at top edge; all end papers partially removed. OCLC: 64159389 for the four vols.
