"Old Glory" flies proudly on the noble "Oregon"

Underwood & Underwood silvertone stereoview mounted on gray card stock, showing the new USS Oregon, a pre-dreadnought Indiana-class battleship of the United States Navy commissioned in 1896. In 1898 the Oregon travelled 14,000 nautical miles in 66 days in preparation for a war with Spain - considered a great feat at the time. On verso, a description of the ship and beginnings of her participation on the war with Spain. 7 x 3 1/2", corners slightly bumped, photos bright and clear. Very good condition. Item #20538
