Nureyev, an Autobiography with Pictures. Signed by Nureyev [with] a signed Fonteyn Arias Royal Ballet program.

New York: E. P. Dutton, 1963. First edition. Hardcover. The signed autobiography of Dame Margot Fonteyn's favorite ballet partner, Rudolf Nureyev. Fonteyn's greatest artistic partnership began in 1962 when the two performed together for the first time in "Giselle". She was 19 years older, but the performance was brilliant. The two were dance partners and lifelong friends. They danced together in many performances with Ashton’s “Marguerite and Armand” being the "ne plus ultra" for which the audience demanded twenty and more curtain calls.

Signed by Nureyev at the photograph at p89 [with] a signed Margot Fonteyn program of the Royal Ballet at the Metropolitan Opera House, April 21 through May 16, 1965. The program with the second page torn away, and with a small circular hole punched at top corner. 8vo, 160pp, photographed by Richard Avedon and others. Blue silver gilt cloth, with silver gilt title at spine. Pictorial mylar protected, not price clipped. Dust jacket faintly rubbed at spine ends. Internally, very good condition. Very good condition.
