Sydney: 1908. Advertising postcard of the menswear store which eventually became the largest department store in Sydney, and in the world, at 52 acres of retail space. Divided back, posted, with two 1d NSW stamps, postmarked 1908, addressed to Tacoma Washington. The writer, (perhaps owner) states, "The photograph is the front of the new premises. So far it is doing well. I expect great things". Printed b&w photograph. Slightly rubbed at corners. 3 3/4 x 5 1/4" Very good condition. Item #21078
