London: Edward Orme, 1813. Hand colored aquatint depicting 5 aborigines at a stream, in pursuit of kangaroos, with one just impaled (at the right side of the image) by a spear. The other kangaroos fleeing, colored in dark gray. From 'Field sports & c. ... of the Native Inhabitants of New South Wales" by John Heaviside Clark. With "published & Sold October 1st, 1813 by Edwd. Orme, Bond St. London" printed below the rule at center. A small blemish at outer rules only at right edge of image. 9 1/4 x 7 1/4", laid down on album card stock. Trove 8936119. Very good overall.
