Anthony Trollope [1815 –1882] was a well known and prolific Victorian novelist. Despite an unhappy childhood, and a rocky start to his career, he wrote while he maintained his position as a civil servant in the Post Office, ultimately publishing 47 novels and rising to the top of his profession as a senior civil servant.
3 vols, roy. 8vo vols, the story appearing in Vol 86 at pp 1 then 6 more installments, Vol 87-6 installments, Vol 88- 2 installments. 3/4 black leather and maroon buckram covers, 5 raised bands on spine with gilt title and decoration.
