New York: McLoughlin Brothers, 1882. Charming illustrated painting book with 12 pictures to paint. None of the pictures have been painted. With 'instructions for mixing the colors', 'a few practical directions', and 'pictures to paint' printed inside the front cover. The pictures to paint section of text explains, "some of the pictures in these books may be found, elegantly printed in colors, in the new "Greenaway Mother Goose" series.... The covers of these books are also intended to provide a copy for the children to work by, if the above mentioned "Mother Goose" should not be procurable".

The 12 pictures include: On the Rock by the Shore; Battledore and Shuttlecock; Ring-A-Ring Rosy; Gathering Berries; Tea in the Garden; Moonlight Walk; Under the Umbrella; Dancing Party; Winter Walk; Gathering Apples; Summer Walk; and Skipping the Rope. The young lady who owned this book was a talented artist: on the verso of several drawings she has carefully made her own pencil copy of the printed picture on the facing page.
