Signed below, Victor H. Paltsits. Published from the original MS. in the British Museum. With introduction and notes by Victor Hugo Paltsits of the New York Public Library.

Miller (1666-1724), was appointed chaplain of the New York Companies in 1692, and for his 3 year stay was the only Anglican cleric in New York. He served in Manhattan and Albany. He made a large collection of drawings and notes describing life in New York, and in 1696 returned to England. Miller was captured by French privateers; during his incarceration he wrote his account of New York.

8vo, 135pp, 2 folding plates & 4 folding maps. In the original gray paper covered boards, some wear along spine edge front board, chip on lower spine. OCLC records only limited editions of 400 copies; this edition of 20 not recorded. Very good condition. Item #22830
