Washington DC: 1932. Ephemera. A broadside poem by Edwin Markham, signed at the bottom "Your friend, Edwin Markham. Staten Island, N.Y." The poem was written at the request of the Bicentennial Commission at Washington D. C., for distribution during the nine months' celebration of George Washington's anniversary in 1932. Markham [1852-1940] was the poet laureate of Oregon from 1923 to 1931. Approx,. 8 1/4 x 14", printed on cream watermarked paper. Very good condition. Item #23217
