New York: The Graphic, 1882. Double page woodblock depicting the victorious crew of the race disembarking at the shore, with two steam boats loaded with spectators in the river behind, designated "Oxford" and "Cambridge". Police at the right restrain the crowd with a wooden barricade, with one spectator's leg being shoved back into the crowd. Later hand color, signed at the lower right. 18 3/4 x 12 1/2", paper 23 1/2 x 15 3/4". Slight loss in margin only at upper right corner. Very good condition. Item #23482
