Baker recorded as an Assessor for the repaving of Stone Street: "For re-paving Stone street from Broad street to White Hall street and John Lozier, Abraham Baudoine & Jacob S Baker were appointed Assessors." Chatham Street was renamed Park Row in 1886, because it faced City Hall Park, the former New York Common.
