One of the very first books published on automotive design, with text and illustrations by the talented artist and designer, Robert Henry "Bob" Gurr, who began this remarkable book while a 21 year old student at the Art Center in Los Angeles.

Gurr (1931 - ) is an American automobile designer, amusement ride designer and Imagineer. Gurr is noted for his design work at Disneyland, particularly the Monorail and Autopia, the race car track and major attraction in which patrons drive specially designed vehicles around an enclosed track.

Gurr began at Disney by designing the vehicles for the race track, later calling himself "Director of Special Vehicle Development". He also designed the ride vehicles for the Haunted Mansion, the Disneyland Monorail, the Submarine Voyage, and the Matterhorn Bobsleds.

Oblong 8vo, 62pp, illustrations throughout. Original pictorial stiff paper wrappers, printed in orange and green. Wrappers slightly dusty, chipped at spine; internally bright and clean, in very good condition. OCLC: 13320383. Good + overall. Item #24171
